Electronic Conversion:  Paper to EMR

EMR's are quickly replacing the paper medical chart. While the information contained in paper charts is still vital, managing the paper is cumbersome and expensive. Clary will manage them for you.

Paper charts are removed from the clinic, transferred to Clary’s secure facility and stored until requested by; the clinic, a patient or third party. When requested, Clary’s HIM staff locates the chart converts the record to an electronic format (PDF or TIF file) and delivers the file via a secure website. The new electronic record is an identical replica of the original paper chart and is searchable by text.
 

Requested charts from Clary’s storage facility are scanned and delivered back to the clinic in a matter of hours, not days, and at much less expense than is standard with traditional box storage companies.

Once converted to an electronic (digital) format, the new record can, in most cases, be attached to a patient’s EMR. By utilizing a scan-on-demand method, rather than back-scanning all archived paper charts, Clary can greatly reduce the cost of converting to an EMR.
